Where Complexity Meets Clarity-And Action Follows

Clarity and Coherence for Complex Leadership
I help academic and mission-driven leaders align strategy, operations, and governance so their organizations actually work.

Field Notes on Leading Through Complexity

Guided by Experience

I’ve spent more than two decades working inside complex educational and nonprofit organizations where strategy, operations, and mission don’t always align. As a cross-functional leader, with a PhD in Education, my work focuses on what sits beneath the surface: the systems that govern how organizations make decisions, deliver programs, and sustain their mission. When those systems are unclear or misaligned, even strong organizations struggle. I help leaders bring clarity, structure, and alignment so their work becomes coherent, effective, and sustainable. One of my favorite professional tasks is to put my research and evaluation, as well as executive leadership skills to good use in diagnosing problems and designing strategy and solutions that address those challenges. I currently serve as Teaching Professor of Education and Associate Dean at Northeastern University, where I lead academic systems, governance, and cross-functional operations.

How I Work with Leaders

Strategic Discernment & Decision Support

I help leaders navigate complex, high-stakes decisions by clarifying what matters, what’s misaligned, and what to do next

Organizational Systems and Operational Alignment

I diagnose and design the systems that shape how organizations actually function across strategy, operations, governance, and execution. This includes ensuring that systems are not only aligned, but measurable, so leaders can see what’s working, what’s not, and how to adjust over time.

I translate mission and strategy into operational structures with clear indicators, feedback loops, and decision points—so evaluation becomes part of how the organization runs, not something added later.

Growth, Partnerships, and Revenue Strategy

I approach growth, partnerships, and revenue as leadership and systems work, shaped by my experience inside academic and nonprofit organizations, along with my current work in partnership design and organizational alignment. Rather than treating these areas as separate functions, I focus on how they connect to strategy, structure, and decision-making, so they can support the mission rather than compete with it.
